ok I have three packages for you here
make sure YOU BACK UP! FIRST!
package 1
contains symbols 24 ( put these all in data/mods/bare geomod/data/menu/symbols/fe_buttons_24 and overwrite if prompted
if you do not have the folders create them
next are symbols 48 if needed create data/mods/bare geomod/data/men/symbols/fe_buttons_48 do the exact same process for these
and the last image simply named russia put this one in faction fe_symbols_80 (do the same as you did for the others if needed)
package 2
this image goes in data/mods/bare geomod/data/menu/fe_faction_units do the exact same process as previously if needed
package 3
one image left and it goes in data/mods/bare geomod/data/ui/faction_symbols
if this folder does not exist create it
now your gonna have to do a little modding yourself! if you want to make the campaign symbol florence go back to fe_buttons_48 and open symbols48_russia select all and then cut then your gonna go into data/mods/bare geomod/data/ui/southern European/interface
and open stratpage_2 (if it is not there simply copy it from vanilla data/ui/southern european/interface into data/mods/bare geomod/data/ui/southern european/interface)now paste the image and then place it to match up with the russian symbol as close as you can

tomorrow I will give instructions on how to change the faction description and also post the one I wrote for florence here it is:
Florence is but one of the enclaves of the superior and sophisticated works of art, culture and science which flourishes out of Italy for the benefit of all Europe. Florence with all its cultural appeal has positioned itself also as being a “worthy contender” in the Northern Italian hegemony in transcribing the economic trends throughout Europe! No longer will Genova or Venice simply be concerned with the other but now must also take the vigorous and thriving City of Florence into their measures. Florence is truly blessed not only is it one of the most prestigious cities in Southern Europe but the countryside of the “Tuscany” region can compete in richness of resources and opulence of beauty with any of the highly noted regions of lore found in Europe.

ok this next part is easy take all of these tga`s and put them in data/mods/bare kingdoms/data/ui/southern european/interface
and overwrite if prompted!
remember post some screens and then I will show you how to give them florence! and may be make some settlements!

ok, noe these are pretty easy too but first go into data/mods/bare geomod/data and create a folder named banners now open this up and inside folder create a folder named textures
ok stop breath for a moment your doing really well so far remember that and druvatar thinks you doing a great job so far! copy all the files labeled symbols.5 into the banners folder now go into the textures folder (which you just made inside the banners folder) and copy in there all the files which are named faction_banner_russia and your done tomorrow we will begin together in geo mod on what else you want to doremember post screens so I can see

today lets change text, ok step one in geo mod find all of the Characters that russian and delete them
here follow this: Tutorial] Adding Characters and armies with Geo-mod
then we go into medievalII/data and open desc_names find either milan or venice copy this file to desktop then open it and find either milan or venice copy all the Italian names like this:

make sure it stays highlighted and scroll down to make sure you include all of the sur names,by names and women
now copy this close out the document and then reopen find russia and delete the names for it and replace with the ones you have just copied
(make sure you leave original faction name alone and that means if accidently began your copy from the faction name like this
venice----(erase this)
characters
make sure the new text looks like this:

save and put in your data/mods/bare kingdoms/data
now the next thing changing all in game text go to data/mods/bare kingdoms/data/text
run the convert all batch.
now open the expanded text find the entries for russia and change to look exactly like this:

save and close if you want to change factions name read this:

we are done for today! upload some screens so I can see
Last detail is important you need to have one region and one general to be playable
so go into geo mod follow my tutorial on adding characters and
create a russian general with one SE Bodyguard unit (validate) change all the regions russia now has to being owned by rebels (validate) now give florences ownership to russia (validate)
and move your new russia general into it (validate and save)![]()

why delete Russia?
why not just add Florence as an additional faction? it is not hard you know...

ok now here back up your text folder first data/mods/bare kingdoms/data/text
now from this package put both campaign descriptions and both expanded in ther and overwrite and then put the desc_names file in data/mods/bare kingdoms/data
ok now for editing in geo mod and giving florence to your faction
open geo mod and go to regions tab scroll down until you find florence then click on it

click on 1.variables tab and 2. change ownership to russia
then 3. validate

finally go up to the upper left open project and click save

now if do not want the russian provinces repeat the process for the russian settlements but this time give ownership to the rebels![]()

and put the battle page 01 in data/mod/bare geomod/data/ui/southern european/interface

ok now in the package florence8
take the desc_sounds_names and put it in your data/mods/bare geomod/data
and your gonna go into data/mods/bare geo mod/data/sounds and delete the events Idx. and events dat. (make back ups first before you delete it sometimes does not work right)
then go back into data/mods/bare kingdoms/data/ui and create a folder named unit_info then open it and copy the russia folder in there
now for package9 in the bare kingdoms ui folder (go back one step) create a folder called units open this and then copt into it the russia folder in package florence9
remember! post screenshots!
