traffic jam at frankfurt
i noticed today that frankfurt is one of the crusade targets so as france i took the opportunity to call a crusade on the HRE and my target was frankfurt. so i get there late, had a army standing by but had to deal with a rebellion, but when i get there i am met with full stacks of crusaders all trying to attack from the city from the narrow corridor that the road provides, jammed in between the trees and the river(Not sure what river it actually is think rhine) but anyway the city us is very easily defendable because of this feauture because only one army can attack at a time. so when it was finally coming up to my turn, (the HRE had eliminated two armies thus far and Danmuark was besieging it. had to wait in line to get slaughtered lol) Danmuark does a 180 and ceasfires with the HRE blocking the city with their armie so my crusaders are forced to run out of courage and desert. I laugh about it now but that was frustrating as hell. since the ai doesn't desert it armies Danmaurk was still in the crusade but not fighting. they stood there till the crusade finally ended some 30 turns later then the crusading armies all slaughtered each other because it was during the end times and everyone hated each other lol. I think i got about 20 "This king is dead, the Prince is dead" events all in one turn because they were all at each others throats when the crusade ended.
to add even more madness to this story the end times ended the turn after all the kings killed each other and the diplomatic stances went back to normal. If Shakespeare were still alive Id dare him to come up with a better tragedy than that lol. How I do love this mod.

Re: traffic jam at frankfurt
Yeah, my commiserations redGuard - Ithis is one of the cities that'll log-jam with crusading armies. Maybe some change to the map to open another avenue of attack. I've seen this in several games when Frankfurt gets seiged en masse.

Re: traffic jam at frankfurt
nothing to worry about, the same thing happens with venice and paris because their both on islands and are hard to attack
