    Default Remove 2 regions

I think a bit after many campaigns. What is the porpuse for Bel-an-Anab province from western Tunis? Is small, bad crops, not have almost any resurces and never saw it like a big city. It can become easy integrated in Tunis. Same apply for Corsica who can be one with Sardinia.

I think corsica and sardinia should remain seperate. They are vital for italian players and the power politics of italian states.

Why remove them? Unless you are planning on adding new ones elsewhere.

Is there a hard-coded limit to the number of regions? If not, they might as well stay. Not every region has to be super profitable.

Yes there is a hardcoded limit to it.
A max of 200 regions that is 199+water.

Combine Corsica and Sardinia works for me. Only Sicily and Genoa dispute those and not even every time if Sicily goes to Tunis or Greece first.

Rhodes should be dropped as well, and maybe Skana or something in Scandinavia.

I would add more region in Bulgaria or Anatolia, or maybe between Poland and HRE.

Bulgaria/Wallochia could use 1 or 2 extra and so could Anatolia to represent kingdoms/emirates in those regions.

not necessarily - I've seen moors and Aragon landing there as well.
I'd disagree with combining them anyway - they are too big to be a single region, and I'm not sure the game engine would like two large islands as one region?

The 1100 Historical accuracy (and more properly the historically slightly more accurate) mod decided to combine 4 of the regions in the NE into 2 large regions. even then we had difficulty finding good names for actually existing settlements in 1100AD. We added a region in Carinthia - capital Trieste - between Venice, Vienna and Zagreb. We tried to fit in Dioclea further down the coast but it ended up nearly all impassable mountains and lake, so went for somewhere else instead. We gave Sevilla it's rightful place as a region (carved out of part of Silves and Cordoba) and reclaimed Badajoz as a region with the correct name.

We hope people will find the changes acceptable, but others may wish to make their own changes.

So did you add 2 regions to Iberia or just 1? How did that effect balance there? To me Iberia and the Baltic are the only regions in basic SS map that seem relatively well balanced. Baltic would be perfect if Scandinavia had 1 or 2 less regions but never thought Iberia needed much work- Sevilla could be a decent addition but who owns it at start?

Dioclea being in mountains is about right and naval landings as invasion would make sense though with the AI etc that wouldn't work well. Really though it would be interesting if there was only 1 path through the mountains to it...

Getting rid of Western Tunis province would be fine by me. I too found it a bit useless and changed it to a city for the port income, but it might be there for balance so the Moors can have more cities to recruit from. Corisca however should remain because it adds historical flavour and castles that the Italians can recruit different troops from.
