i haven't seen much about them on the forum. i like playing them because no body really bothers the settlements that you start with.
does anybody play as the briton faction?

iv played a campaign as them but i cant stand the chariots, and its nice being on the british isles for safety but it can make it difficult to get a foothold on the continent as your limited by funds from the isles.

i liked playing as them although i never finished a campaign. starting off is hard quite hard which i liked about it with you losing money first few turns but after you get your economy right then its just like any other campaign. with you having the british isles there isn't really any chance of you getting destroyed so nearly everything military will come from the province in belgium.

I've never played as Britania... but as far as barbarians go, I love playing as the Gauls.

But my favorite nation remains the might and glory of Greece!

The best experience I've had with Britain is a few campagins I played I believe in RTR 5.4... or whicever was the last version before they were cut out...

i like Briton for 2 reasons and dislike them for 2 reasons
like

A) u r mostly ignored in the early game, giving u ample time to build up ur economy and ur military
B) the only barbarian faction with chariots, and they r awesome against the other barbarian factions, they even decimate the German Spear Warbands.

Dislike

A) Isolated on the British Isles, and no nearby Rebel settlements (besides Ireland)
B) ur sandwiched between Germany and Gaul, both tough opponents, and once u punch through them , u meet up with the Romans, who are now technologically superior to you.
