    Default Greek City State recruitment question

    Someone (RJA) in the Q&A thread was asking why the Greek City States cannot recruit Pergamon Hoplites from Pergamon. They can use them in a custom battle (I realize that is not always directly connected to campaign recruitment).

    They've loaded a save game and the top tier barracks does not really give them very muich at all.

    The following is the progression of what the Greek City States can recruit in pergamon from the Militia Barracks through to the top tier barracks Army Barracks.

    Militia Barracks:

    Is this a problem a AOR/ZOR problem or are they simply limited in what they can recruit? I did look at some other settlements from the load and they can have a larger pool of units to recruit ellsewhere.

    Ok, fixed. I apparently missed the Pergamum and Cyprus Hoplites when adding units to the Greeks. The Free Greek roster is somewhat limited in a lot of areas by design, but they should've had those two.

    Thanks for that. I know there may be a while before the patch is ready. Is this a small change to make or is it a bit more involved?

    It was a small change. These two lines were missing from the Free Greek 'city_barracks':

    recruit "pergamum hoplite" 0 requires factions { britons, } and hidden_resource area8 and hidden_resource r13
    recruit "cyprus hoplite" 0 requires factions { britons, } and hidden_resource area14 and hidden_resource r13
