    Default CTD at turn 215

    Hi there,

    Currently playing early campaign as Lithuania with :

    • Permanent Watchtowers
    • Savage AI
    • Faster Turn Times 3.0
    • Bugfixes
    • Teutonic Crusades 1.0 (this shouldn't matter)

    A CTD occurs when I end the turn. The shields appears, and right at the beginning of the first faction playing after me (France), I get a CTD.
    Running Win7, disabled UAC when installing, running the game as administrator (and didn't installed in program files, so no admin rights issues). I already tried moving around some characters to reset the "random" thingies.

    I tried to spy France movements at their turn; they move some armies, and when they move a little stack with one or two unit in it, it move of maybe 1 or 2 cells and the game crashes. I would try to destroy this little stack but I don't know how to do that, unfortunately...

    Thanks for the help

    Edit : Destroying France with surrender_regions seems to fix the problem and I can get through the next turn but after that if I try to load a save the game crashes as well...

    could be a difficult one to pin down - at a guess I'd say it may be a problem with traits and ancilliaries somewhere.

    can you check back through system.log to see what happens next after those entries (they're often repeated.)

    might be something to do with the king.

    Oh noes. Of course, it's the only one that changes the campaign_script. D: Although I have no campaign_script error in the log... So I think this campaign is over. So sad. Anyway, thanks for the tips !

    Do you have an save earlier then that one you uploaded? A final charge onto the walls, so to speak.

    I have 3 saves a couple hours before the crash and one from 9 days earlier Maybe I should try them to see if the crash happens.

    Edit : Loaded a previous save of the turn 215, and I can end the turn... Really strange... It seems that I did something during my turn that causes it crash. Will play some turns and give a feedback here.

    Here is it. This is the turn 216 : with the other save, you can't end the turn without a CTD. With this one it works Only tried without doing anything for now ; I'll see if I play this turn if it changes something.

    If you can open it you could give me your thoughts about my campaign

    I could even reproduce the savegame corruption with your old save. Very odd. Let us know if the problem turns up again, but I hope it just was some strange fluke.

    Ok... I guess I figured what my problem was with your saves. I forgot that your mod not only changes textures but modifies other files, we'll see in a minute.

    Hm yes it changes the EDU too because I added armor upgrade levels for many lith units; I think that's why you couldn't load it !

    Did take me a bit longer because I had to setup Generic Mod Enabler so that I can roll back the change if necessary. I have to say I'm once again dissapointed by the lack of error handling...

    I didn't really take a detailed look but nice empire indeed. I'd go for Enland, Scotland and Ireland next but thats just my preference for easily defensible positions

    Hehe Lithuania in England sounds a bit weird to me but nice idea
    For now I'll finish Poland, crush Denmark and then I'll go for the British Isles

    Look at it this way: You can then make a nice twofront war in Western Europe
