New Portraits and Eventpics for Romans Version V

So welcome all to this thread
One thing I was ever discontent of was the lacking of new portraits in nearly all rome mods.
Mods accomplished so many tasks that we can talk of a new game, but the portraits I felt, do in some way influence the immersion negatively.
Direct copied/pasted from the "RSII Submod" Forum ... lazy

Originally started as a RSII Submod I decided to enhance it further.

VERSION FIVE RELEASED

So whats in?
Note: There are 83 new portraits, not V1+V2+V3 etc

Version V

- 83 new portraits for the Roman faction
- 45 new eventpicture for Romans (now ALL with borders)
- new pictures for wives, sons, daughters
- 11,97 mb

Version IV

- 62 all new portraits for the Roman faction
- 32 new eventpictures for Romans
- new pictures for wives, sons, daughters
- reworked,deleted/changed many of the old "new" portraits for better visual experience
- 9,18 mb


Version III
- 40 new portraits for the Roman faction "real" style taken from Rome(Series), Gladiator and other movies(with death cards)
- 20 new Eventpics for Romans
- new portraits for wives, sons and daughters for Romans.
- 7,14 mb

Version II

- 32 new portraits for the Roman faction "real" style taken from Rome(Series), Gladiator and other movies (with death cards)
- 16 new Eventpics for Romans
- new portraits for wives (new one in v2, old was too stretched imo), sons and daughters for Romans
- 5,92 mb

Version I

-25 new portraits for the Roman faction in a "real" style taken from Rome, Gladiator (with dead cards but without old change cards, portraits will stay the same at this point)
-10 new Eventpics for Romans
-new portraits for wives, sons and daughters for Romans
- 4,83 mb

Compatible with?

All mods of Rome total war in all versions as long as a roman culture is present

Installation:

100% savegame compatible

simply past the "roman" folder into your games data ui folder Rome - Total War/Data/UI <-
and Play_Rome/Data/UI

Future:

To solve this I need your help to stop Rome from using vanilla ones.

The only way to avoid this is:

1. To duplicate the new portraits you've made to completely replace the vanilla number, which I believe is somewhere over 400 ( not all unique ), I think. But I've noticed that about 150 new ones does the trick when using BI, and keeps the old vanilla ones from appearing. I don't know what causes this and what parameters the engine uses.

or...

2. Unpack, delete or replace the old portraits with your new ones in UI/roman/portraits, and repack.

I've checked it out now and it's 478 general portraits used by the Romans.

Thank you again. Will exchange all vanilla portraits with new ones I think.
After that I'm done with Romans
Assasins and Spies won't be changed
