    Default Re-doing Arnor?

    Ok I don't what your thoughts are, but Arnor is very well done but, I personly like the style of Arnor being like this....

    nope, all I was saying is those look nice, I'm not discounting your work or anything as its 100% perfect, all I was saying maybe sometime in the future it would be kool to add something like that.

    Come on guys...let the creators finish what they started...
    They accomplished what no other mod has...
    And they continue to expand the M2TW engine to its limits.
    Asking of them to recreate a whole faction the time they have more important
    tasks torwards to the finall completion is a crime...
    TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
    Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

    IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
    Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

    They're very good indeed but they're inspired by the Battle of Gorgoroth that you see in the movie intro, when in fact Elendil & pals are in ancient Numenorian gear.
    Of course, assuming that Arnor style was close to that is fine to me - TATW graphics being based on the movies - there's nothing in JRRT's books that fully describes them. We can only guess because JRRT depicts Arnor & Gondor as the heirs of Numenor & therefore their style is derived from Numenor's. Ex: the wings on the helmets is a reminder of the Sea Kings (seabird wings). As for the 7 stars, It might just be a graphic issue.

    A very good post Pacha. You don't have to fake modesty and all. It's just that I didnt have time to write a lenghty post on why they do not look like the units from GW, instead I opted for my favourite of a few pics from my massive collection of comments in picture form and let other people handle it. I was, however, forgotten how strange all the new people on this forum react sometimes.

    Thus I am sorry if I ofended you.

    No one is flaming you for posting your opinions. However, this suggestion was made during the 2.0 development process and it obviously got nixed. No one is suggesting that you stop giving ideas but maybe do some research first, and word opinions so they don't sound like you are asking for a re-do of something that was just finished. ;-)

    The Units are good enough as they are
    But only one thing:
    There should be 7 (and not the present 5) stars on the soldiers' shields. After all, Arnor was the kingdom of the SEVEN stars :p

    i just see your title thread(havent read the next posts)... and mate, neither now, neither ever, maybe in the next dimension

    BUT

    small (minor as a sub mod) add-onns for the Kingdom are welcome,especially if we talk about light units like Eriador has in the beginning,fixing the colours of Arnor because GREEN does not fit into Arnor
    and done some unique buildings like .. Minas Tirith by KK..Fornost will be great from my point of view.

    and some other minor fixes and Arnor will rule them all

    beside we are to many Dunedain\Arnor\Eriador players that we LOVE them and with no fixes

    When this mod first came out I would have agreed with you Raridir, but it makes sense that they'd go back to how their armour originally was. That gondorian armour was the result of an evolution from turbulent history, various wars etc, Arnor had a comparitvely bare history and wouldn't have an equally evolved armour design.
