I would not say that it sucked. It was quite fun, aside from some irritating things. And quite lore based as well

Yes War Of The North looks great and it is going to be kinda like Dragon Age meets LOTR so I'm kinda looking forword for this one

As for the Aragorns Quest I have to agree with Muffer on this one "worst game ever" looks like another attempt to win kids over.

They said they'll try to stay close to cannon but that's not the vibe I got from the trailer and images, seems like a very loose interpretation of the lore. It's not very appealing to me but at least it has co-op that is not online which is a big plus for me.

How is this screwing over the fans? How long as it been since there was a good LOTR game? War in the North looks frigging awesome from my point of view. And as i love LOTR this is a must buy for me.

It may be a good gameplay-wise but it has practically nothing to do with Tolkien's Arda so therefore people don't like that it's marketed as a Middle-earth-based game.

Well it is, so get used to it.

Edit: Only LOTR Game i've actually only ever hated was LOTR: Conquest. See! now that game spat in the face of lore. Good example, when did Mordor ever employ an army full of Orc mages? well appartently he did in Conquests version of Middle earth. Sheesh, i hated Conquest, myself personaly i like a good mix of lore and visual stuff from the movies. I don't think there will ever be a 100% lore focused game now. Actually Wasn't LOTR Online mostly book based? i know they didn't have the rights for the movie for visual stuff.

Now im not a lore fantatic here like some of you are. But even i can see some of the gameplay stuff Conquest is pretty dumb. Like Gondor scouts jumping onto trolls one hitting them, now thats messed up.

I stopped watching the video when that elf jumped five metres above the ground... I just hate it when people try to milk money out of their games by adding "LOTR" or "Middle-earth" to name of them when in reality they have pretty much nothing to do with Tolkien's Arda.

Did you turn of ROTK when Leggy jumped over 5 meters to get up the 30 meter Mumakil?, or in T2T when he span anti clockwise arounda horse neck to mount it?, or did you stop reading Tolkien when elves ran across a rope to cross a river?.

Did I miss the point where he jumps five meters from the ground? I didn't like that or as a matter of fact many other Legolas scenes if that's what you wanted to know.
