Re: Cry of the Icemark: Total War?
Well as i said in my first post i can do the coding and text editing and i am ok at mapping.. nothing special though. I also 'know' how to model and skin, and i have all of the resources to do it, i'm just not too good at that kind of stuff, but i am willing to practice my butt off in need be. I am also quite a good writer so I would have no problem doing unit info's, faction descriptions, etcetera etcetera.

Re: Cry of the Icemark: Total War?
Ok Thankyou Then
I doubt many people have read the Icemark Chronicles, soooo..... I will explain them to you
The Icemark Chronicles is a trilogy consisting of three books, Cry of the Icemark, Blade of Fire, and Last Battle of the Icemark.
In the first book, the Icemark is betrayed by it's allies the Polypontian Empire, who march invade them. Both the Polyponitan's army and the Icemark's army (including the Icemark's King) are killed in a massive land battle (I sense a historical battle here
)
leaving the Icemark in the control of a teenage girl. Desperate for help the new Queen travels around to find allies for the inevitable battle with the Polypontian Empire. She seeks alliances with the werewolves and vampires, and the giant snow leopards up North. The snow lepards gather at the Icemarks capital for what truly is an epic battle. After a some massive battling and what seems as hopeless for the Icemark, their good jolly allies the werewolves and vampires finally arrive and kick some serious Polypontian Empire butt. Happy Ending.. or so it seems.... :O
In the second book which takes place about 20 odd years later, not realising when they've lost, the Polypontian Empire gather the army of all armies, including some uber sky ships (not possible to implement ingame ... i know :'( ) roll all the way through the Icemark til they get to the Capital again. The youngest of the heirs, because he had polio or something, gets sent down to the Southern Continent, (whose capital is a water canal called Venezzia... hmmn copyright infringements their much??) and then gets this amazing idea in his head to gather his own epic army to go help his family defend the Icemark .. (whose a good little mummy's boy) so he trave;s to the Desert Kingdom, convinces them to help, and then down to Arifrica (subtle much) and gets help from some Zulu people who ride zebras. Then with his massive cavalry army he sails back up to the Icemark, finds the odd zombie and rock troll on the way who want to help, and once again..... kicks some Polypontian butt. Oh, and kills their evil evil General too.
Now the third book is just kinda weird.. but.. in short. Some strange woman general who thinks all men are inferior invades the Polypontian Empire, riding on triceratops like animals and starts wreaking havoc their. The Polypontian EMpire ask the Icemark for help.. and regretfully they agree and go help them out. But! while their down their givng the good old treatment to these dino freaks.. some evil god like spirit person invades the undefended Icemark with Ice Trolls? from the 'spirit' land. The vampires, who are having a jolly good time with the capital to themselves, get out of their coffins and launch lots and lots of raids on the Ice trolls, until the Queen's husband.. who is a warlock and the son of the evil spirit person (ye i'm confused aswell) sacrifices himself and by doing that destroys the spirit army of Ice Trolls. Oh, and the rest of the Icemark beat the crayz dino woman and her army. So sort of Happy ending?
Now i'm sorry if i've rambled on a bit and through my vague descriptions have probably put you off, instead of got you interested, but it truly is an epic series, and if you could implement half of the sensational features of these books into a total war game, you would have a truly interesting and original mod.
