Diplomats/Princesses

What exactly is happening when you see diplomats or princesses approach one of your towns, display the graphic that represents they are about to propose some kind of diplomatic option, and then nothing happens and the end turn keeps going about its business???

Not exactly sure what they're doing, but it always ends up with them declaring war on you.

You can sometimes prevent this by giving the diplomat of this faction a gift of 100 tributes every turn for a long period of time.

True, In vanilla i have done this a like a thousand times and it will prevent this, if u just throw some money at their faces lol.

So basically you should just assassinate them all after 1-2 turns of inactivity?

Well that doesn't helps actually coz another agent might come again near a settlement and do this annoying thing again. Best just to pay him to stop this.

I think it means when the AI try to bribe you but it doesn't realise that the AI cant bribe. Usually this means they are starting to hate you so try to be nice to them

I've had it happen with civilizations on the other side of the map......that i met once.
As far as i'm concerned, assassin practice. I mean they're asking for it, annoying sobs.

Diplomat: he's trying to bribe you. I lost one of my settlements to K-Shah once, after their diplomat staying by it for maybe half a dozen turns.
Princess: she's probably trying to seduce one of your generals.

Just so you know: your +rep doesn't count yet. I guess you need 50 posts for it to actually count. Anyway, I've got more rep than I'm planning to spend today, plus I need to get a few people off cool-downs to +rep them again, so here's some rep for you.

He has 31 posts, and has been a member for 3 years. The rep he gave me counts as 0.
So there's apparently another parameter that needs to be fulfilled, possibly 50 posts, or maybe one needs at least a specific amount of rep (3, maybe?)

Hmm, I think because he joined so far back when you needed 50 posts. Since then you just have to have 25 posts and be a member for a week

Well i have a doubt for that and i think it's still 50+posts +1 week to give the rep that counts otherwise it's a neutral rep

.

I'll look into this and edit the Wiki FAQ's if my suspicion is right.

Yes i know that i was replying to Aussie and i'll see to it what is the fact, may be it's a typo error in the FAQ's.

And i know that u will send more than one rep like a dozen to meneth(
