A bad joke!
Ah well that settles that then, thanks Adar.
I suppose we can mine the stuff in the future from some asteroid or planet.
or we could finally find a way to create nuclear fusion. then we'll have a near infinite source of helium.
mining asteroids is very expensive and for the moment far beyond our reach. but the technology to fuse two atoms of hidrogen into an atom of helium will be discovered within our lifetime.
also breaking up lithium is another good source of helium.

Because it is lost to space. Amount of helium in our atmosphere is extremely minute, because it tends to go up and never come down. Instead leaving for space.
This is because it is so light and inert. Being light it goes up, being inert it fails to combine to heavy molecules which would stay.
All helium released into atmosphere is lost to humanity and only notable source is from separation from natural gas.
Everyone is warhero, genius and millionaire in Internet, so don't be surprised that I'm not impressed.
So it is as simple as the daily show corespondent said it is. Add an e to H (Hydrogen).
Isn't there a bunch of Helium isotopes on the moon? Closer than an asteroid.

OH MY GOD NO MORE PARTY BALLOONS HOW WILL WE LIVE?
Why is helium so hard to store? Is it just it's too small to contain effectively?

Yeah honestly I have to wonder, will we be really that badly off without helium? I mean its a shame, but come on. I know there commercial cooling purposes, but there are alternatives for it.
