Recently, playing as the HRE, I noticed that my faction leader had aquired the crown of the holy roman emporer but when he died I wasnt able to replicate it. Anyone know what triggers it, or if other factions get crowns?

The crowns will be acquired by the faction leader when you have certain regions that make up a "geographical region" required for the crown. I mean Geographical Region, is a set of provinces. Like British Isles Region is composed of 10 regions, 3 of Ireland and Wales, 3 of Scotland, 4 of England. If you have all these regions, you will have the Crown for England. You faction heir will get it in the very next turn after your faction leader dies. Its triggers are in the export_descr_ancillaries.txt file.

Interesting. I dont appear to have had the crown passed to my heir however.... I still have all of the territories I had when I was first awarded the crown too.
Apologies, I checked the files and I need Stettin. Thanks for the info. Love it. My Emporer can become HRE and King of Italy.

Also once you have the requirements I think he needs to spend a turn in your capitol.
Veni Vidi Velcro
You just have to end your turn in a settlement actually![]()
Teutonic Crusades Sub-mod for SS6.3
Many graphical enhancements to Teutonic Order and Lithuania factions
I got a crown for my Roman Empire after expanding in all directions quite a bit
would be great if someone could put together a list of crowns and requirements![]()
Im going to assume if I am Danish and hold all of Italy, I still get Italian Crown?
Monkey killing monkey killing monkey over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys give them thumbs,
they make a club and beat their brother down.
Damn it! I would still be King of Italy though!
Oh well, I shall have to proclaim myself Imperator then.
It could be scripted though so I could have the Crowns if I wanted?

Sure. Change the code I quoted in the file, comment out or remove all line similar to
from the crown of your choosing,Code:and FactionType england
then change all settlement conditions for the crown you want to point to your faction.
Or you can do that for every faction (settlement checks against each and everyone), but that takes longer. Make a backup of the file.
Would I be able to delete some of the province requirements for the crown of Italy? I want to change it to require only Milan, Ancona, Bologna and Pisa as it is my understanding that Southern Italy, Sicily and Corsica and Sardinia are 19th century additions to Italy.
I agree with "For England Men", so we could have different family branches holding different crowns. This could actually lead to some pretty decent rebellions. Or I would just love to have my French King to have a French Crown and the Italian one and just be able to transfer it to his nephew, brother, cousin whatever.
