Yasi Archers (?)

I've been trying to find out more about these archers.
they are supposed to come from the area between the Caucasus mountains and the Steppes (according to their in-game description) but I can't find any info about them on-line.
I found Yasi (old name for Turkestan)
and Yasi (Yet Another Space Invaders)
but no tribes, people, country.

any ideas?

There is a Sari Yazi outpost on the afghan russian border. It may also refer to a yellow plain in the same region. The stuff I read online is something to do with russians advancing on Sari Yazi, and Russian claims on Sari Yazi..Also a sariyazi place in Turkey I think. There is also some Yazi leader.
