    Default Democracy, ha?

Please tell me how can elections under these conditions be called democratic?

Not saying anything bad about USA or Iraq but let's create the regime by other means than "democracy" and then go for elections. This seems like a showcase...

i don't really see the problem iraq is in a very fragile democratic stage
They are trying to make sure no body disrupts the elections it's really hard voting if somebody is attacking you
You can't separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom.

And who's fault is that? There are people in Iraq attempting to disrupt the election...regardless of views on the US this is Iraq's chance to voice which way they want to go its not their fault or the US's fault that some morons want to scare people away from that. Iraq's elections will probably end up being far more fair then the joke that Egypt went thru, no one ever said democracy comes easy.
