    Default blood stains, craters, and general effects.

    when i first booted up WW1 mod i hooted for joy at the sight of massed blood splatters but then got take aback at ho wit just dissapered. i have seen in other mods blood splatering the ground and the bodies and wonderd if you were thinking about adding that (i believe i saw it on the order of war mod)? also, i was thinking about old battlefields from WW1 and was curious if you were thinking about increasing crater size, as you have models for actual artilery peices. it will be nice to see unique batteries as opposed to generic 12 pounders, but i was thinking that along wiith this you could make it so the craters were massive. is this at all possible?

    1)This sounds like a pretty big hit to performance, but if it is an independent mod then you should be able to run it alongside TGW.
    2)We can make craters bigger but honestly at a certain size it just begins to look ridiculous.

    Yeah the bigger the craters are the more obvious it is that they arent actual geometry but a decal with normal mapping...

    also, the size of the explosion will not change, so you'll have a normal sized explosion creating a huge crater. The main problem with craters is that it is, as BDIZZLE said, only a decal from the map, which mean you might have a couple or more trees standing in the crater, and nothing can be done about that.

    the blood spattering is a good idea though i like it and u should just say download if ur com can handle it by the download link

    The blood splatter in NOW is just changed crater texture, even if you miss everyone you still get it.

    So basicaly, artillery creates a blood stain instead of a crater? hehe

    Nah it creates a very large bloody crater. Imagine the effect produced if you filled a balloon with 50% blood and 50 % explosive and lobbed it into a patch of open ground with noone nearby.

    Is it in projectiles or projectiles_explosion and exact column is it that you have to edit in order to reduce/enlarge craters, I seem to have accidently increased the values in the column as I have ridiculously large craters.

    Appreciate any help

    Most probably either explosion shock effect (or something like that) or area of effect.
