Aragorn King of Gondor?

a friend told me, that in his campaign aragorn has become king of gondor!
is this right and how can this be achieved?

when you're gondor, an event will happen where you can accept aragorn to become one of your generals. now you have to kill of all the stewards and any other generals until aragorn becomes the faction leader. Have fun!

It is possible. Get Aragorn adopted in the family tree. Murder your entire family tree. Aragorn is king.

not exactly..after you will killed all the bloodlines of the stewards...then you shall have...

"Steward" Aragorn

but if you like so much go to->expanded.txt->then look to find {EMT_SICILY_FACTION_LEADER_NAME}Steward %S replace the word Steward with lets say High King press save ->go your save game and continue playing

first you nedd this files...

1)descr_strat.txt path:

go to second and seek that:{steward_gondor} Steward of Gondor
{steward_gondor_desc} After the bloodline of the kings failed, the line of Stewards now rule the lands of Gondor.
{steward_gondor_effects_desc} +2 Authority, +1 TroopMorale

also find this in the first one

character Denethor, named character, male, leader, age 65, x 239, y 128, portrait Denethor, hero_ability The_Heart_of_the_Lion ;anorien born 2930

finally find for the third

guess you find the above


you can delete,edit the title of the steward..and then instead of steward you will have (after some work) King of Gondor

in the attachments you will find what is necesarry to get King of Gondor,but have some problems with the image of Denethor... i ll try to fix it(hope soon)

Note1 : backup your original files in case something goes wrong you will be able to continue your game
Note2 :dont know if the game is save compatible
Edit:look post 10 for the paths of the files(not files,txt)

After 2 turns, my Aragon campaign model magically changed to a hobbit. It's quite funny and irritating. Any help? only edit I made was his age and his bodyguard. Help?

how i can correct this?i do some noobish job and now i can restore Denethor image to the campaign map

Can you a little explain this? You made a new ancillary?
If yes you just have to add this to its place:
Image NameofYourPic.tga
Now make a picture in "tatw/data/ui/ancillaries" with this name


EDIT: I checked the files posted above, there is nothing problem, I dont know why that happens. I suggest to make a new pic in that directory and name it to other name and then put that new name to the file. Also, goodleader.tga is not a general portrait at me

i re install the game and still have the same problem,in first time i try to do a ancillary for king of gondor but after you see the result 2 posts above this one,denethor hasnt his battle_model denethor*i guess this is missing,and not goodleader.tga
