Broken Crescent is going 3.0... Please allow time for all the images to load.
Marhaba illustrious ummah of the Broken Crescent,
My name is Reece Capps; I am an English and graphics design student working as the Lead 2D Artist for BC3.0.
As you know, Broken Crescent 3 has been announced and we have been working tirelessly to produce a new kind of vision for Broken Crescent. BC3.0 is not merely an update, but an entire revamping of the original and groundbreaking modification that set the standard for M2TW total conversions. Working closely with such legends as Y2day, an entirely new aesthetic feel is already beginning to take root within Broken Crescent 3. We invite you to preview some of what is to come and browse some of the artwork to have come out of BC3.0 so far. We also invite you, our ummah, to spread the word of BC3.0 to the far corners of the TWC.
Ummah, in Arabic, translates to "community" and that is who we are—a community of gamers unsatisfied with what is and who pursue what couldbe; a community dedicated to this single, great game, M2TW; a community united under our love of history and our love of Broken Crescent; a community who, together, will once again redefine the standard for M2TW total conversions!
Help us spread the word! Wear your signatures with pride and let's, together, build something great.

FACTION BANNERS
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Working closely with the infamous Y2day and our dedicated research department, we have come up with a number of faction insignias—each a representation of actual, historical emblems used by the various nations and kingdoms in BC3. Every insignia has been carefully constructed and implemented into not only faction shields, but banners, flags, and the UIs themselves.
Here are the current insignias representing each faction in BC3.
UIs
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Every faction will feature their own unique UI. Neighboring factions will often share architectural influences, but a uniqueness tailored to each and every faction is our ultimate goal. Each time you play a different faction in BC3 the experience should be something new, and aesthetic individuality is one way in which we hope to accomplish this.
With the UIs, we are going for a streamlined, professional, and smooth design. No clumsily pasted together graphics taken off Google Images here. Each UI has been rigorously critiqued by each and every member of the BC3 graphics team and does not see the light of day until every tile, stone, and crack has been put on trial.
Here are only a few of the UIs created so far...
Western Steppes UI / Turko-Persian UI / Arab UI / Indian UI
CONCEPT ART
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Unit design has always been a staple to what has made the Broken Crescent series so successful. In BC3, we are continuing this tradition by pursing unique, visually intriguing, and historically accurate designs for each of our units. Our concept artists work closely with the rest of the team to produce designs that accomplish each of these feats.
Each artist has his or her own style or method, but most images are eventually placed into photoshop where they are further rendered and colorized on separate layers which feature multiple color compositions. These are introduced to the rest of the team and, if the modelling and texturing departments approve, are further rendered into 3D form.
Here is just a few of the concept art that has come out of BC3 so far...
Georgian Soldier / Mounted Ghulam / Ethiopian Warriors / Georgian Noble / Arab Standard-Bearer / Caucus Warrior / Persian Spearman / Indian Axeman / Atabeg Spearman
I have played this sim since Day 1 it came out... Still my favorite... So Foreign and rare. This game is truely a peice of Art, with all the Philosophical knowledge of the middle east as well as the political and cultural knowledge. Being a Grad student in philosophy I have always known much about the western philosophers, as well as the far Eastern (Indian and Chineese philosophy) However the middle east has remained a mystery to me untill I literally saw these guy's names and looked into what they did. Shahabal-Din Sahrawardi I found very interesting in particular, but just the simple fact that you guys included all this great stuff in your Mod makes it unique beyond any other.
