Yeah, when you read http://shoguntotalwar.yuku.com/topic...ome-Total.html straight from the horse's mouth.

Dell BIOS for dedicated memory is locked.

Did you install all directx and .Net drivers that came with the Gold pack?

Merely being tactful and polite, its always annoying buying new stuff and running into problems.

Personally I'd be amazed if the laptop didnt fry playing RTW... a humble 64mb required there.

If the OP feels he's been misled over the laptop specs...a swift return to the store could be in order.

useres\username\appdata\roaming and hidden so you will have to unhide all files and folders in Folder Options to find them.

ok, so i just tried a quick battle and unpacking then deleting the geography shizzle appeared to work. but i dont unsterstand the point of that when it was freshly installed and before i had made any attempt to unpack i was unable to conduct battles

That one I have no explanation except if it works, don't knock it.

I believe you go back about two months in threads and there was one other player with the same chipset that got to fight battles, too.
