Press "Prt Scr" button. Your screenshot will be saved in SEGA/Medieval II Total War/tgas. The are in tga format and need program such as Gimp or Paint.NET to open.

You can also use program like Fraps to take screenshots. It can be downloaded from internet.

If you are on Vista however you need to go : MyComputer/(username)/appstore/local/sega/medieval2/tgas
because it doesnt show up on C/programfiles/sega/medieval2/tgas

Can anyone confirm the location for vista users? - this does not work for me (I have no /appstore directory)

I used to know where this was but cannot seem to find it, damned vista updates must have re-arranged something.

if you don't have hat key like me) or it doesn't work you can change that in game, under options/keyboard options/misc

Paint can't open .tga files. You need to use other program. GIMP or Paint.NET for example. They are both free and can be downloaded from internet.

Better of with Fraps as suggested above it saves your image in .jpg, .bmp, ,png which are all standard pic formats and that don't require any conversion or a software to open.

Thanks for the response... that is a dead end too as is, but close -- you've helped me uncover it finally.

Here it is for future reference or others seeking:

    C:\Users\(your username here)\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\tgas

Yeah i typed the path wrong that's the current path and it happens coz of the UAC. UAC causes problems in several mods and save game file going in the virtual store folder etc.
