Help me please

Ok, first post hehe. Big fan of this mod but im having a problem that I cannot figure out. When I get around 280-265 BC the game will stop at one faction and take 5 to 10 minutes to finish a turn and now at 261 BC exactly the game always freezes. It has not done this before and i have uninstalled and reinstalled the entire game totally and it still seems to do it. I really love playing this so im kinda at your mercy Any ideas?

3.2 Dell XPS with a gig of ram and 256 video card, not sure what kind i think its gadeon or something and i have the game set on medium settings. Oh and i meant 270 not 280 on the yr

Do you only have this problem while playing SPQR?

It slowed some after the 1.2 patch came out but it only freezes and takes forever for a turn to complete in SPQR

That's weird. When you uninstall RTW do you completely remove all the remaining files as well?

Then it's something wrong with your system. I've never had this problem so I don't know what causes it exactly. But of course the reason why it get slower in SPQR is because the factions get much larger and have more units. If you run any background programs turn those off, run anti-spyware and anti-virus programs, and then defragment your harddrive; see if that helps.

I make sure all background stuff is off and ive already check for spyware and viruses but it said none found. If one of my 512 ram stick went bad could that be the cause of it?

Yeah it could. But have you defragmented your harddrive yet?

i had the same problem with my vanilla game, have you personally changed any of the files? like added more money to certain units, moved units around etc?

No, I have not defragged yet and ys i have changed the julii faction money to 100000 but thats it.

yea it happened for me too in vanilla. But it stopped after i reinstalled the whole thing.
