Re: Alexander Question
eXtended Cultures (XC) works for Alex and features two seperate greek factions. Greek City States IE vanilla greek style. Mainland Greece and the Independant Greek City states, which had scattered settlements across the map, Rhodes, Syracuse, Massalia, Cyrene to name but a few. There are also provincal campaigns that let you play as a select few of those states (making you the GCS faction for that settlement and all overs the independant faction. IE Syracuse, Cyrene, Pergamon, Boskarian (sp) kingdom.
Is that kinda what your looking for?

Re: Alexander Question
No worries. XC can be a touch on the difficult side because of the all extra traits and heavy focus on character development (requires significant micromanagement if your fussy about keeping your generals heros and not fat paranoid wastes of humans)
Extended Greek Mod (XGM) features the above campaigns with a toned down XC play style (Ethnic traits and stuff, without the super high levels of character development) and retains alot of the same features greece wise (XC was built ontop of XGM)
So thats two. XGM if your a fan of an easy game style or XC if your looking for a long term nurting characters game plan. The generals really make or break your game. Faction leaders become really really really important in XC
