Roman Empire

has anyone ever been the romans and conquered the territories that the roman empire controlled and then just held it against invading factions? i dont think ive seen a RTW (any mod) game in which the player started off in italy than expanded to form the roman empire, aside from IB where u can start the game with the united roman empire. i have seen an AAR where the guy tried to do the historical expansion of the roman republic for EB but the thread went dead though, too bad, i was rly liking it.

I once saw someone on these boards recreate the Roman Empire as accurately as possible. Don't know where the thread is, though.

I did that once, like 3 yrs ago.. I did recreate Alexanders empire with the roma surrectum mod tho lol, recreating the roman empire was hard, not because of the enemy factions, just unrest in the cities lol.

Not made by me, but this was made in RS2 recently:

Practically the same empire that Trajan had except for Scotland and Ireland.

nice empire saxdude, i saw that pic before, very good depiction of roman empire, are u gonna try to roleplay another civil war or a division of the roman empire? perhaps u can have the cimbri (germans?) simulate barbarian raids across the rhine and maybe even historically place ur legions throughout the empire according to where they were stationed, ur choice if u want to, i would be happy if u did it though

Im trying to contact the guy though, so i can get the empire as is and try different alternatives (continue expansion, mantain my borders or divide the empire), His name is Solex if your interested.
