Online HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I once played online all the time and i was really good then i really got into moding and stoped now i want to do moding and play rome total war problem wont let me play multiplayer i had an old account but i change computers 2 times cence i last played online and had to make a new account. so ever time i go into the multiplayer area all the battle info is in red and when i click on any of them this pops up

There are 3 issues which commonly make people incompatible:

1) You are playing RTW and it is not patched to 1.5.
2) You are using an expansion few people play and nobody is online (Barbarian Invasion; Alexander).
3) You installed a modification which changed your game files. If there are any changes to the certain group of files checked for consistency while you sign into multiplayer, the game will automatically consider it a revision, hence a different version, and you will be incompatible with everyone but those with the exact same modification. If you don't know what was changed and you have no backups to replace your changes, you will need to reinstall RTW. When installing modifications, I suggest you either mod-folder (search forums) or copy and paste the entire RTW directory under a new name to accept the modification installation. Thus you always have an unmodified RTW to play.

You cannot mod your game and expect it to be able to properly communicate battle gameplay to the other players. That's why the game tells you you're incompatible.

Ok i did not do anything like that to my game and it is up to 1.5 and i install mods once i copy and paste the entire RTW directory makeing a new one then i install the mod on the new one not my real one. but i just wont play if no one can help. thanks some one can close this thread now.

Well clearly if you are incompattible something has gone horribly wrong.

proverbially holding your breath till somebody does something will not fix your problem.
