    Default Economic 'nerfing'?

    Been trying to reverse engineer the 'nerfing' formula for the cash...

    It's something like

    Z=20%ofCash(or less) + X%*Heroic Victory(s)+Y%(Heroic Victory plus conquer region)+80%ifRegion lost

    with an over ride of If z>100%ofCash then 100%ofCash

    ??

    Thanks for this wonderful formula but what are you talking about and how did you get this assertion ?

    Maybe you should start with telling us your base values from which you reverse engineered that beauty and what exactly you are looking for.

    LOL, nice replies!

    OK, in 'vanilla' after a while (fairly short) the level of cash income becomes quite good and sustainable for building in each region and also recruiting. In SS the cash never seems to rise above 'only just about possible' to build in most settlements, but... if you get a heroic and capture a region or if you lose a region then the cash income jumps substantially by a considerable factor (4 or 5 times the 'normal' level of income). This, IMO, has to be scripted somehow?

    Ok now it makes sense
    I indeed noticed that when capturing a settlement and sacking it my income was growing of more than the amount I sacked. Not sure for the heroic victories though.
    I think the economy in SS is mainly "nerfed" by the "Corruption and others". In my game where I have 30-35 settlements I have 15000fl of expenses each turn due to "Corruption and others".

    Make sure your capital is close to the center of your empire. Build law buildings. Law decreases corruption.

    What I would like to see is a new noncombat unit like the diplomat that goes to areas to reduce corruption. Managing a far flung empire is not easy from a centalized emperor king, however there are the Kings enforcers that travel to corrupt local governments to reduce the level of corruption from those completely out of hand remote settlements. A corruption purging unit...

    I don't think that's possible, sorry.

    My capital is as close as I can; About the law buildings, you're right, they're not maxed everywhere (mainly city barracks and town's halls I guess)
