Doesn't the Kievan Rus have almost exactly the same units as Novgorod?

Novgorod is identical to Russia as far as I can recall. However, I did like Novgorod's color scheme a lot better, so much so that I replaced my Russia's colors with Novgorod's.

Yeah I would like it if the colour scheme was different and it can get confusing as the kievan rus and Lithuania have almost the same colour scheme

I do believe you people are right. It would give a nice colour variation, especially considering the fact the nearest yellows are either in spain or egypt (should you count gold as yellow!). However, as Dave has said enough times its extremely unlikely that it will happen in KGCM- perhaps Soul will take a different view though! (or one of you, if you have the power!

The problem in put in the game this 2 factions is because they doesnt match historicly. Novogord became Kievan Rus when the guy in charge in novogorod die and his son change the capital to kiev, or something like that! sorry for my english... the only thing more realistic is add novogorod and rename kiev rus to muscovy and change the capital from kiev to moscow.

i'm not 100% sure, but is something like that!
I'm brazilian and is too far away for me know about Russia history! lol... but i know is really cool! lol

Novgorod was in Dave's planned KCGM Age of Discovery mod, set in the 1400s, but the project was abandoned as I and a handful of others were the only ones willing to help with it.

There line up is identical to that of kiev's so modding them to have that colour scheme is not to hard a modding job for those that would prefer it. step1 take all the textures from the novogorod faction and rename the nov_etc part to that of the name kiev's units(just the first part the faction name as the units are identical) then do the same for the textures of the strat models place all these textures in the right file of KGCM and finally open the descr_sm_factions file of vanillia and write down the colour numbers of nov and then go to the same file of KGCM and change kievs colour scheme to this that will give you the strat and battle models and the faction boundries and mini map colours of nov for kiev.

Changing faction symbol colour is ah well somewhat more complex but if you wish to go that far let me know and i can tell you how but it is a few hours work
