The model that was used for King's men (or English knights if you prefer) since 6.0 or so has always been bothering me. without wanting to seem like I'm moaning, the model and textures dont really seem to be up to the same standard as the rest of the English skins, and then theres the wierd helmets...
So anyways, i read a couple of modding stickies and then had a go at fixing it myself by changing them to use more generic skins.

I've included my changes in battle_models.modeldb and spoilered are the changes (remember to backup before changing files if you want to use this) but what I'm interested in asking fellow users is; is there any way of using the vanilla english knight skeleton with SS textures? as the only problem i have found (so far) is that as i've used the model from a chivalric knight, they are armed with swords rather than axes and afaik there is no other full plate knight model to use for this.
Coments, observations and telling me how and what i've done wrong welcome.
I never minded the old foot versions but the mounted ones always looked off to me. The heads don't look so great and the helmets are a different shade of colour from the rest of the armour.
Talking about full plate, Stainless Steel really needs more different kinds of full plate models added. I think there were some new ones in other mods but can't remember what they were.

Matthaeus did create some very impressive and historically accurate models for 15th century Milanese plate armor and the quite famous 16th century plate armors. If that would be accepted into the folds of SS, it would double the types of plate armor in the game.
