MASSIVE PROBLEM

Preveiously when I installed more RAM, Rome refused to display the main menu, it just went white and the campaign map became grey.

I fixed it by removing RAM.

Now, 5 months later, Its the same problem with NO hardware or software changes. Ive reinstalled RTW even going as far as deleting it formt he registry and reinstalling but still no go. My DX is to the latest and it cannot be a graphic problem.

The Campaign map goes grey with all the textures gone and the main menu is white..

For anybody here to even begin to understand your problem, you need to post technical details such as those linked by Brusilov. Without them, we'd be guessing for weeks till we maybe got close to the issue.

Confirm that bloom is off, and try to run the game in a window by adding -ne to your command line.

Try looking over this thread.

Sounds like your graphic drivers are the problem, follow these steps here:

**"For Windows XP and the 82845G/82865G only:

1) Uninstall the current drivers for your graphics chip. Do not reboot yet.

2) Get Driver Cleaner Pro and clean with Intel. You must follow this step. If you simply try to install the new driver at this point it won't work.

3) REBOOT. Don't worry about the screen resolution as yet. Cancel any new hardware found dialogues that appear.

4) First try this driver: http://support.gateway.com/support/d...&uid=172541894

If that driver doesn't work, try this one (number 2, the .exe):

These drivers are for both the 82845G and the 82865G. The second driver is likely to be much less successful.

5) Install and REBOOT. Correct your screen resolution from display properties and test the game again.

For Windows Vista there are no available drivers. So it's likely that Vista has driver support for it. If this is the case and the game isn't working then you may be out of luck sorry."**

How do i get the damn thing to clean an intel driver? it does not have that in its list.

I got driver cleaner to work and did all that was stated.It still didnt work so I reverted back. Ive got new data.

-Battles and unit models are rendering properly

-Sky is having problems

- Foot archers arrows come as triangle

-Horse archer Arrow are OK

-Game dosent load main menu display and buttons

-Campaign map texture do not load

And this isnt just RS2, i cant run ANY mod not even vanilla

I think your problem is the on board graphics.

If anything runs at all I think you should consider yourself lucky - regardless of how bad it looks.

But why the sudden death kneel when everything was working fine the day before? No other game has any problem..

Well, I presume you've removed some drivers that may have been working before. Did you run Windows update? Did you have any new software installed or upgraded?

Try running IOBIT's Game Booster as it will allow you to close down as many background services as possible in 'gaming mode' : http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html

It's also free.

I already run game booster.

I close RomeTW at 11pm and go to sleep. Open the computer 3pm next day and wham. Not working. There was no change Nothing. Normal Shutdown. There were not even any abnormal shutdown or CTD that day

Why don't you restore the computer to a time when it was working?

I got the 'evil eye' a few weeks ago when I played with the language settings in Word. I got mad, lost hope, gave up and then restored.
Voila! It worked. I am still clueless as to what happened.

Worth a shot...
