Where can I download the latest patch?

I have the gold edition of rome, it's 1.5, I see I need 1.7 but don't know where to find it
Any help would be great

I recall the Gold Edition at 1.5 is fully patched and good to go, no patch required.

There is no such thing as 1.7. There was some heretic named plautus in MP 2 years back who tried to get people to download his "custom made 1.7 patch" but those people were never seen again. presumably still kicking themselves for downloading a virus.

A 'custom-made' 1.7 patch sounds extremely iffy. Always best to download official patches from official websites. Some plonker knocking up dodgy home-made patches in his bedroom is unlikely to be fully game compatible..and he'd probably get a slap of his mummy if she found out.
