I made it last year as i remember. As someone mentioned, legion AOR is changed meanwhile, so this map is currently inaccurate. I still have map in layers so its easy to change. If anyone wants updated version need to post info where are real Legion AOR is and i will post new map.

This is version with regions only.

Could you post a tutorial in how to create a blank large region map from the map_regions.tga?
I'm using gimp but i only get awful looking results since resizing the map makes everything grainy.

I used smaller tga map that was in important stuff for creating regions and borders. Photoshop/pen toll for making basic lines in vector shapes. (Making paths from that tga is very painful process if you want to be accurate.) When you have paths, you can resize them to any size and fill regions with color and letters in Photoshop or illustrator/corel.

Map you are trying to resize is bitmap image and will suffer huge quality damage depending on how much are you enlarging your image.

You can try with this one (2.5MB), its blank map 4800x2928 that i created in PS with clear contrast and no letters so you can vectorize it in illustrator/corel and fill it with color.

    Basic map borders

    Hope this helps a little.

Nice work Praetorian, although that's the old map, not the new one. Any chance of making one with the new map?

The map in the first post is inaccurate though as we changed quite a lot and were never able to update the map.

Is there any way to find that without playing whole campaign? unfortunately im really short with time to play.

Maybe if someone upload saved game?

Exactly what I thought. I actually have the the above AOR map as my desktop background and I had thought the same. There should be a key.

Well that was solution for Legion AOR so that you can represent Legion recruitment in certain areas without using different textures/colors

For example if you look at Iberia or Area 2, you can recruit Legio VI victrix and Legio XX valeria victrix in all regions with legion crest helmet and Legio II avgusta and Legio IX hispana where is symbol of classic legionary. Area XIII - legio III galica and Legio V alaudae separated with shield symbol from rest of legions available in area XIII.

I just used roman army symbols/gladius/legionary/shield to separate different AOR without putting too much texture/color or text in worst case.

Care to share, cause I'm interested too... I think a lot of people.

Praetorian_BGX, I don't think the 'basic' AOR for the Legions changed all that much on the first map you made. In otherwords, the ones shown are the 'general' AOR layouts for the Legions. What changed was that Tone added other AOR regions where various Legions were known to be, or fought, or whatever, for the sake of historical accuracy. It was these that never got added.

And thank you for chiming in and saying you made that....I couldn't remember who had done it.

Can you/anyone send me Roman save where they hold all regions where the AOR is available?

Or is there any file in install so that i can read where they are now?

One more thing. You didn't changed regions number or position?
