Chauhan Rajputs: Are they Playable?.

I can't play as the Chauhans but I can play as Solanki. Can you play as Chauhans?

No, you can't play the ubber gorgeous Chauhan's army, but you can play the very lame Solanki's one.... You'll have a hard time fighting off Chauhans, and most of the time they do come for you !!

Is there a way to make them playable? Why did the BC team make them unplayable?

Yes they are, but you have to endable it manually

look for the descr_strat file in this location:
C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\broken_crescent\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign,

open it with Notepad, on the first line
you can see that aztecs (code for chauhan) is not playable, copy/paste the word aztecs from the non-playable collum to the playable collum, delete the orriginal aztecs line then save. You can also play as slave this way but not Mongol as they do not have a starting settlement.

after that you have somethin like this:

I played the first 10 turn of Chauhan, no crash or any bug yet, they still have world events, adoption, traits and ancillary because they shared the mesoamerican culture with Solanki so what ever Solanki have they have it too. But they doesn't have any campaign objectives, and faction's description. It's not a big deal anyway, you could just play until you got bored.
I will let you know if there's anything wrong with it, but I think you should give it a try, it's pretty hard to play as them with the new EDU's upkeep so it should be fun
