    Default Little Command

Hey. I recently started playing M2TW again, and I had SS6.1 still installed, as well as a big submod that changed a lot of features, including the city textures.. I think BYGR was a part of the submod, as well as other mods.

Anyway, my question is regarding the skill of my Generals. At the moment, this is really the only thing impeding me from an enjoyable SS game - none of my generals has more than 2 stars, and only 1 has 2 stars - the rest have 0. Perhaps it is realistic this way, but I like a general who I can get behind and cheer for, one who has maxxed out skills due to a couple of decades of campaigning..

I wonder if this is a noticed problem? Is it SS6.1 doing this, or this big submod-thing.. Is there a way to fix it easily? I will be re-installing SS, with the new version in the next internet-month, but until then, I was wondering if there is any quick fix.

    Thanks.

Check the EDCT file for it may be they have increased the threshold of traits that increases the command for a general.

Sorry to hear your having trouble....

In my experiences with SS6.2 & SS6.3, acquiring command stars has never been an issue. In essence, winning battles and scrapping up routers equals generals stars and traits piled high.

Actually I've had a different problem. 10 star generals are a dime a dozen but building good governors is worth a king's ransom.

Don't install / use BGR if its not to your taste. Its optional.

Again thats most likely because of you installing BGR - its an intended feature to make the game more challenging for the experienced players.

If you installed the RR/RC compilation (that big submod-thing....) then BGR has to be manually activated in that compilation, how to do that is described in the RR/RC compilation release post. If you did that, then reverse the process (again, as described) and start a new campaign after that.
