Default How many campaigns have you ever completed?

I know this topic was made before, but whatever.

So, how many campaigns have you finished, i.e. either got to the end date or fufilled all the victory conditions?

Me? Only one and that was a short campaign.

In vanilla I got bored of the three families, in fact I've never got to the gladiator revolt or past 130 BC. Theres just not enough to keep you interested in vanilla or any of the mods. At least in MTW you had the Burgundinians or Swiss or even the dreaded Golden Horde arrive to bugger you over.

Maybe some of the scripting in EB or RTR 7.0 can keep a gent occupied long into the game.

5 total; Greeks SPQR, Macedonian SPQR, Selucia RTR, Thebes AOH, and Selucia SPQR. Yep, I only finished playing Helennistic civilization. Others like rome and Gaul, only got half-way and bore. But i'm eagerly waiting for the forth age TW so i can kick some orcish ... with Elves haahahahahhaha!

2 . Once with Julii and once with Scipii. But in my current campaign I won't stop until I have 100% of the map.

I finished never a campaign. I always found something new to change in my minimod, so I 'm restarting most of the time.

    1. Quite weird, because I consider myself as an experienced RTW player. The problem is that after one or two campaigns the game becomes a bit bored after i've conquered too much. You know, when you've conquered about 20 provinces and you know the enemy won't beat you, even when they throw three stacks at you. So in my current campaigns, I do all kind of weird things. Like sailing from Armenia to Britannica with a small army of cataphracts. One of the funniest things I did was the extermination game. Loaded an old savegame, Macedonia 240 BC with 40 provinces. I gave all my provinces to an useless enemy, and conquered them back the same turn, exterminating all of them. Did this about four times until all cities had 400 inhabitants.

@Red baron, if you're bored load up SPQR and play by the house rules (eg. not capturing major enemy towns or expanding beyound 20 provinces until after marius).

The bordom will go away pretty fast as you end up fighting 2-3 battles (at least) a turn just to survive.......

I've completed one as Brutii and then started playing with RTR (which was too easy) and now doing SPQR where the Germans and Gauls are kicking my little Julii bottom.....

Repman and Tac, thanks for the tips, but I think I'm going to stop RTR/SPQR mods. I've had enough of the period and European map.

I've finished only a couple of campaigns in R:TW. Towards the end you just get bored. At least in Medieval factions would reappear, province loyalty would drop drastically, et cetera.

Now, in Medieval, I finished hundreds of campaigns.

The former doesn't have any campaign yet, doesn't it? Their work looks very promising. Don't know anything about the latter, is that mod already released?

That XL mod saved MTW for me - I love the Bulgarians!

In RTW I've finished a Scipii, Brutii, and Greek game. Almost got Thrace but then got P.O'd and stopped, lol. I would get SPQR now if it was 1.3 compatible... dammit!
