    @troy7

    Are you trying to install KGCM (and what version) or the Heroes, Hordes and Behond submod?

    If you are trying to install KGCM you should just download the files (they are self-extracting executable files) to your desktop or folder of your choice. Then either double-click on the file (with the exe extension) and it should begin to install. You can also run the program by right-clicking on the file and selecting Run or Run as administrator depending on your operating system. You can also select 'Run' from the start button.

    Be sure to read and follow the instructions carefully.

    The above link will take you to the v4.2 install instructions.

    Should you be installing HHB, you will need to download the compressed files (with a 'rar' extension) and after installing WinRar, extract the files to your desktop or folder of your choice. These files are also executables and can be run as in the instructions above.

    Here is the link for the HHB instructions:

    Heroes, Hordes and Beyond Installation Instructions

    If you have any further questions, please post again in this thread.

    It sounds like you are trying to download KGCM v4.2. Download the file and at the end of the download file I suggest that you select the save option as opposed to the run or open, I forget what excactly the options are. Save the file either to your desktop or foder of your choice. The file should be named:
    Kingdoms_Grand_Campaign_M0.exe
    Then follow my instructions in my previous post to run it.

    When you save the file to desktop make sure that it is named: Kingdoms_Grand_Campaign_M0.exe

    You may have to rename it and make sure that it has the exe extension.

    Best hopes for you!

    Yeh it was the 3.0 vers, 4.2 downloads ok into the mod folder.

    The problem is with the 3.0 file it comes up as a blank file with no folders inside, using Vista computer.

    Does the file show up correctly after you download it? Is it an executable file? What folder did you tell it to install it to? Do you have UAC turned off?
