    Default How to set my own research time for technologies?

    Hello everyone,

    I would like to ask if it is possible of course to set my own research time for technologies?

    It is clear that not all technologies need the same time to develop as others.

    Some easy technologies need so much time, that small country will have to wait for ages....like United Provinces with one gentlemen....

    I could use basic ETW editors like : Pack File Manager, ESF Editor, DB Editor, etc.

    Anyone know how to do this, which table contains all that info?

    I would like to set i.e cannister shot research time to 1 year,etc.

    Building time is realistic like 1 year, 2 - depend of construction type.

    Adding a scholar improve only by 1 or 2 turns the research.

    Some technologies needs ages to develop, but are easy to achieve in my opinion.

    Hmm, actually i was forced to format (delete) all data from my hard drive - the hard drive was broken and had some errors.

    I bought a new smaller one ( 150 GB , previous 600 GB... ) so i need to install ETW once more.

    Now i' m downloading those mods that i have lost - all this things takes a few days...

    I will try to change the research times on my own - i saw a proper table.

    I've set all the times to 1 turn and find the game more entertaining that way.

    Theres some table in the file with the times, just set them to 0 or 1.

    Yes, i know a mod that do that...

    But it will be not fair! The Grand Campaign would be to easy!

    No offense, but this is a stupid idea to give to all technologies research time 1 turn.

    Not all technologies requires the same research time.

    I found a proper table with list of technologies and the default vanilla research times.


    Unfortunately, i had a hard disk error and i was forced to buy a new one (150 GB in Media Markt )...

    So, after some time i was forced to reinstall ETW ( the reason was obvious - hard drive broken) and i' m using Pack File Manager to browse and edit the pack files......

    No one know, how change manually the vanilla default research times for technologies?

    Yes, there is a mod that do that - but it does in general all technologies.

    As everyone know, not all technologies require the same research times to be develop....

    I would like to set different research times for military, science, and economical technologies.

    How to do that? In which table i could fine the technology and the time that it needs to research by default.

    This is the last thing that i would like to change in Grand Campaign mode - i changed weapons range, Grand Campaign start year, etc.

    Thanks of the husserlTW i figured it out!!

    Now i' m playing United Provinces in Grand Campaign (Short Campaign victory condition).
    I have one scholar that adds +2 research turns and one basic school.

    The research points are related to the turns that a technology need to develop.

    So i give an example :

    60 research points in default vanilla ETW means 5 turns (seasoning ,flintlock cannons) after i place the scholar of course....

    It was a simple mathematics to change those values and increase or decrease the research time for ANY technology in ETW.

    Once more i would like to thanks all those who has helped me in fix this problem. Thank you guys!!
