SS 6.3 : Schola Barracks

Playing as Byzantium. I have the Scholae barracks, but am now unable to recruit or retrain the Empire's specialist troops. All other recruitment seems to work fine.

Also, I had a CTD when I attacked a Sicilian army in Greece. Possible missing unit cards or text?

Flamethrowers aren't available from the start. 4th lutheran or whatever council, do a forum search for the exact year.

You can retrain them anywhere with the barracks, but only less than 1/2 a unit at a time. The pool also has a sloooowwww refill rate, so be careful with them or you may lose them.

You can actually recruit them in 1216, but only in Constantinople.

Are you playing a 1 year per turn / 1 turn per year campaign? If so, its 1216 minus your current year.

If you use the no waiting mod you can train any unit during any period of time as long as you have the right building.

@agc28, yes you can train them in tunis or in moor terrotorium, berberspearmen and desertarchers too...
