Cant Load or Save

About the 3rd or so turn in the load and save game button grayed out and it wouldn't let me load or save.

Is there any way to fix this?

Were you able to save the game at the start and can no longer save the game?

it is the same thing for me... i restart several campaign and once it works... don't know why. It works for the campaign where all the countries can be chosen (what is called th 1 turn campaign, i can't see the difference between the 2 campaigns except the cost of building)..

The 1-turn campaign does not use the backgrond script.

The play factions (all 0 turn recruitment) all use the backgrond script. The Roman campaign is harder than the others as it features some scripted rebellions (that's what happens when people complain a mod is too easy).

I've had the save buttons greyed out once for me. I'm not sure if it was related to the script not running or not. I've subsequently gone into the campaign and been able to save without problems.

The 1-turn campaign does not use the backgrond script.

I was wrong - the 1-turn campaign does use a background script.

i am having the same problem with the game my save option is grey out with the Spartan campaign i don't know about the other since i installed the mod i have only tried to play the spartan campaign i try all the fixed mention to no result i am running windows 7 ultimate i have admin rights and my UAC is off i don't know what els to try

never mind i don't know what i did but i fixed it now i can save and load (i deleted my old save files from RTW maybe that was it)

Problem came back what i notice was when it did work the script didn't auto run then i click the town and the script ran then the save and load menu worked is there a way for me to make the script to stop auto running so i can manually activated?

Funny thing is that autosave doesn't seem to function either.
I made sure that it was activated in the preferences, but still nothing :/

I guess I'll just wait for a patch that will fix this.

check if the script is auto running on the start of the campaign if it those then you having the same problem as me

I can only save/load if the script doesn't auto load.

At the start of my Roman campaign, I am given 5001 denars.

It's not like I regularly use AUTOSAVE/QUICKSAVE anyway. I was just concerned that I did not have any backup saves of my campaign.

Doing a few tests would be interesting.
1 If you start the mod, a new campaign, an immediately try to save without activating the script (make sure NO denarius is added), does it work?
2 Now, if you do the same thing, but activate the script first (make sure ONE denarius is added).
3 And thirdly, do not activate the script, pass a turn. Can you save?
4 Now activates the script. Can you save?

If someone with those problem could test one of all of those issues, it'd be nice.
Be sure to quit the game between each new campaign, and wait some time for the cache to be cleared.

at no time in any campaign can I save my game

i started a roman campaign and i was able to save... ans i want to begin another, but it is not possible to save or load another from the th game, i must restart the game to load my old game.. but impossible to save a new one..

It is the same for me the script run immediatly after lauching, so it is impossible to make a test.

to me the problem is the script running right when you start the game if they could make a patch to make the script not to auto run but to be manually activated would be so much better

When the script auto runs at the start of a new campaign I have no problems with saves.

The problem is something to do with something on your system. It's either the account you log onto Windows with or where you've installed the game or what you've done with UAC.

There is no evidence for that. Iam using win7 and although having RSII installed into programs i did not had a single problem with 2.0. UAC is just a problem if it is set to high level or if you run an account without administrator rights.

Anyway....Today I started my first game ( 1Turn Roman ) since the patch and found myself without save/load...
deleted the map.rwm and exit the game various times but still...doesnt work...

Edit- I tried alternating between High and No Advice, and even when I reload, I don't seem to be getting any difference. Still can't load or save
