    Default Blood and Mud! (Crimson Tide 4 by Magus)

    By posting this i do not intend to claim any of the data, all credits and authority goes to the author of the mod Magus I merely found this compatability.



    Crimson Tide 4
    is originally a mod made for Stainless Steel, and it adds great looking snow / dirt / blood textures to your units. And great thing is that is completely compatible with the latest version of Call of Warhammer.

    ( Download 4.0 and a bit down 4.2 patch )

    Installing it is very simple, run the installer and install it into the Teutonic folder. Same with 4.2 patch.

    Tested on: CoW 1.3 ( all hot-fix ) + Cedric's UI's, + Real Warhammer, + various hot-fix that didn't seem to interfere in any way.

    P.S. I personally vote for this mod, to be honest it MUST be part of CoW as it gives a great atmospheric effect to the game.

    Also there is a way to add HDR to the game! BUT for me it made insane FPS drop ( on average had 50-60 ) after 20-30 ( core 2 duo 2.4, 3gb ram, 8800m gts 512 , windows xp sp3 ) and it makes interface of the game very bright.

    Again this mod was designed by Vorontsov Boris who designed ENB.

    P.S. This is recommended for people that have at least quad core processor ( 2.5 ghz + ) gtx 270+ or Ati 4000+ series. But you are free to experiment with it and it is highly configurable.

    I think that this would be a lovely addition to the mod. If it isn't included in 1.4, I'll include it in Real Warhammer.

    Um, holy_pilgrim, maybe its better to leave it optional. Some such as me prefer just the blood and not the mud. The mud looks terrible on cavalry troops and i actually kind of like the "clean" look on factions like the high elves that just seem like they would be cleaner. I dunno, thats just me.

    Hopefully it's not included in the normal versions of Cow, I had the mod for a while and didn't like it too much...

    I have to agree with you guys. In medieval mod I like realistic look, with gritty muddy troops, but in WH-world I want to see those beautiful models without it.

    Well for such as you there is a " NO DIRT " version. But I personally love it as it adds more realism to the grim world of Warhammer.

    Perhaps we could add this mod in the normal mod but with an option in the installer like:

    - I'm a nevrotic person who can't stand any form of dirtyness! I want no bloody or dirty mod on my shiny desinfected zombie!
    - I like blood... I like it... I crave it! I want blooooood to cover all of my bodyyyyyy.... Oups. I mean... My troops. I want the blood mod for my troops... Only... I'm a normal human being, you know!
    - I like it when things get messy... I want dirt and blood everywhere! Hell Yeah!

    I appreciate the efforts of the mod creator but I believe the blood in this mod is too unrealistic, too much blood in my opinion. I would appreciate if the dev team wants to include it to make it as an optional addon.

    i think this would make a great addition to the mod the warhammer world IS incredably grim and bloody after all, although i can see why people would want their elfs to remain nice and shiney
    i think having it as optional would be the best solution

    Yes it would be difficult for me to decide too. However I only play as Empire and I don't care about shiny elven robes.

    Its just the way the dirt works on cavalry troops, and even for the empire, some troops like reiksguard just dont look very good with tons of grime piled on them. Blood is fine though I use the no dirt version in many M2 mods.

    does anyone have any screenshots of what the sub mod looks like in game? maybe some of the no dirt version too?

    I appreciate hard work on Crimson Tide but... i simply dont like it my vote is for optional too
