    Default rtw used to be read by dvd drive but not anymore

    hi everyone
    I used to play rome in my laptop paviliandv6 with hp dvd AD 7561s dvd drive. but my notebook can't recognaize the disk of RTW anymore.
    any one encounter this and what do you advice me.
    I have a gold Edition.

    any tip?

    Is the disc scratched up? or it could be that your laptop is either not advanced enough for Rome or it is to advanced for rome.

    Once you put the disk in, try clicking on my computer then on your dvd drive.

    my disk is clean and work in my other computer.

    Once you put the disk in, try clicking on my computer then on your dvd drive.
    once I click on the disk driv a message apears as please insert a Disk
    and then it ejects the disk.?


    whats the problem do you think is?

    Try playing it as the administrator or uninstalling the game and reinstalling, sometimes some computers do not download everything on the first try.

    didn't help cauze it fails to recognaize the disk from the first place.

    I know irishron in the ERAs Technical Help part of the forum has commented on this in the past.

    The thread should probably be there or in The Basement.

    I do have a dvd player and I just posted my comment there as you suggest.
    just waiting for him to response but till then I would be happy to fix this soon .
