Default Turning off the supply system?

Ok. I know majority of you would despise this but is there a way to turn it off? I am newly getting accustomed to this mod. I is excellent but supply stuff is killing me. In my opinion supply money is nice and all and generals should have this "army weary" after 15 or more turns. But I cannot travel across England to get my new king crowned without running out of supply and getting immobile. I am having "Offends Nobility" and "Feeling Dishonoured" business because of this. I would like to keep the nice field money cost but edit out running out of supply. Could you please explain how to do it?

I suspect it may be done by editing export_descr_character_traits.txt at Medieval II Total War\mods\DLV_ext\data folder. Is that correct? Also what should I do with a trait which I want to disable. Making it from 1 to 0 ? Could you please expain?

Would deleting "Bygs Supply Addon" section alltogether work?

I think the big thing is that people don't know much about themechanics of the Supply system. I certainly don't. It probably involves going through the traits file(s) and delting references to it. The problem is, the system is so complex that you might cause other issues, or it might work for the first 100 turns and suddenly cause a CTD without any warning. Your best bet might be to contact the original creator of the system. Check out DLV's credits, as I'm not sure whether it was just the one guy, or if many people worked/modified it over time. Best of luck.

many of DLVs features are intertwined and difficult to change. thus only a few people can anwser your question. but as a temporary fix i say send another general and relieve your general of the army and send your army and king into the closet settlement you can find. or use the character reset cheat if you must as a last resort.

Thanks for answering. TaronQuinn, I have messaged Bgy, who is the mastermind of a great realism mod which is interwoven into DLV. But I don't know if he will bother with this. It was kind of shameful. "Hey, great work but how to turn it off?" I won't blame him if he ignores it. RedGuard, thanks for the tip but I already know that. But I won't cheat. This game is too easy already. I wanted to play DLV because it is well thought and refined. But supply system and feels dishonoured business bug me. I read the guides extensively before bothering someone and decided they are not for me at all. TaronQuinn's point of the issue being too complex is what bugs me. If I could get a hold of it, I could do it myself. I don't even know what is "Treshold 1" is for a trait. Would making Treshold "0" disable the trait? Could someone give basics?

Personally, I have ordered German generals to emigrate from the Levant, and travel all the way up to the dark forests of the Baltics without problems. A dishonored trait arn't going to bring the world down by it self either. I've got dishonored governors with a loyalty at 3 sitting in naples, while my Byz Emperor is in Constantinople with 4 authority -- Still I don't get any kind of civil war. It's all a matter of thinking a few steppes ahead. Now Britan does got alot of forts and rebel armys in the way, so using the boats is a good way to transport your old fragile king across the realm. Activly persue the knowledge of aquiring loyalty retinue's, but you also need a "errend boy" who can deliver all the swords and governorships around -- The Heir is the perfect match for this, since he is mobile and doesn't loose loyalty when loosing any of his transferable retinue. Well, I'm just saying that it's not impossible and struggling and overcoming these kinds of barricades is why I love DLV. Restart your game, and try again.

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

Dear Sivilombudsmannen, thank you for encouraging words. But the thing is my tastes totally disagree with the degrre of realism which supply traits provide. You may say that DLV is not for me then. Kind of right. But I exhausted LTC, SS and BC and Third Age. I was going to play Baltic: Total War next. It was very good at start. It had some basic DLV rules. Then I hit my head to the mortal bug which is mentioned it last two replies of this thread: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=315203 My hearth was broken. So I thought I could play DLV instead. DLV is nicely done. It is masterly crafted, to a degree which is far beyond any game designer would bother to reach. So I was hoping I could make it work like more to my tastes. This is why I started to think about removing supply traits. Is there a way to do it?
