Icon5 A question about units stamina.

    Hello,

I would like to ask how the stamina level of an unit affects its effectiveness in land battle?

I mean: The tired unit is less effective, accurate, and do less damage in close combat fight?

I noticed that i.e very tired cavarly is an easy prey to infantry in melee. The same with tired infantry units - they even reload longer.. or i 'm thinking wrong.

I would like to be 100% sure before i let the unit to "run" all the battle across the whole battlefield...

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi there.
The most profound effect fatigue has, is on the units morale. A very tired unit breaks faster than fresh units. How the units other wise is effected, I can only particularly remember: A unit loses -5 on stats like reload and accuracy for each level of fatigue (Tired --> Very Tired --> Exausthed). And it also loses 1 morale for each level.
I am not sure, since it is only what my memory can recall.

    Don't.
I let my troops run only very short distances; when approaching an artillery-heavy enemy, somewhat longer, but I check out their stamina status regularly and stop them running when they become "Active".

I'm not exactly sure about the mali, but Morten is definitely right about the Morale thing.
They also move slower with each tiredness level, and I'm pretty sure there's also an impact on melee.

Note that light infantry behavior also makes your troops get tired; you should only activate it when close enough and/or under attack.

Thanks a lot for help and information! And thanks for quick answer from both of you guys!

Heh, so i was right... i will force the units to run only, when they are performing a charge or if they are under heavy enemy fire.

It was clear to me before asking these question that something is "wrong" with the tired infantry and cavalry
    .
The cavalry regains their fatigue after some time standing still - the values return to "fresh, active".

Better to force enemy army to run all the time, because they will be an easy prey.....

So let's gather now all the info about fatigue bad effects:

    - running long time make an unit tired,

    - the morale is lower,

    - accuracy is lower,

    - reloading skill is lower

    - they speed is lower

That was a info that i was searching for, thanks a lot!
