    Default A rebel overhaul mod

    Hi all

I was thinking of a Rebel Overhaul mod, where the various rebel regions are made in tolkien-stated groups instead of generic vanilla ones. Such a mod would have to be based on donations and parts of other mods, and would therefore require the support and permissions from many of the current submods. The units (and perhaps battle maps later on?) would be remade to improve emersion and lorebasis.
Most important is that this mod should NOT alter gameplay but only be asthetic. And neither should it add many new factions(except maybe one).

Examples(could be the layout for a future mod):

    Forochel:
Lossoth - wild men with bows/axes/javelins (perhaps living in a iglo-like city?)
    Barrowdons:
Rebel units of wights(And perhaps using the battlemap made by Inarus - no city)
    Minhiraith(Eryn Vorn):
"A few scretive hunter folks" - Wild men with bows/Javelins (perhaps living in a forest camp)
    Enedwaith:
"A fairly numerous but barbarous fisherfolk" - Wild men with javelins/bows living in fisher villages
    Druadan forest:
Druadan wildmen with bows/javelins lead by rebel captain Ghan-Buri-Ghan
    Witehered Heath:
Dragons(not living in a city, but on a burned plain with burned trees)
    Rhun:
Independent tribes that opposed melkor. According to Tolkien himself, there wasconflict between many of Rhuns tribes perhaps started by the blue wizards Allatar and Pallando
    Information: http://www.annalsofarda.dk/Annals-of-Arda/Misc/Misc-TheIstari.htm
    Vale of Anduin:
Could either be improved by adding more woodmen, eotheod and beorning units, but - at least for me - it really breaks immersion to see elves/dwarves fighting beornings. So it could be made a AI defensive(non aggresive) minifaction - without any effect on gameplay, and only having a single province(Beorns halls).
    Khand:
Home to a horse people, so more cavalry rebel units perhaps - and a rebel chieftain.
    Dorwinion:
Tolkien himself was very vauge about this region, but perhaps some avari units along with the current human ones.

I already think that Harad and Eriador is covered, as it is already stated that Harad had many independent(warring) tribes and Eriador had many bandits/ruffians(For example those serving Saruman) - and I thin the current Rebels covers this already.

But how would people feel about such a mod? The best would of cause be if such coud be incorporated into Vanilla(as a help to King Kong), as it does not alter any gameplay

    Best Regards

    Is that bad?

Anyways, very interesting. I would love to help map that out as a sub-mod. PM me!
