Default Increase the chance of having a boy

in my family tree, there are so many girls but so few man.
how can i increase the chance to having a boy?

btw, how can i increase the chance of having childern?
i mean increase the "basic chance"(not by adding a trait to the character).
i have play many games and i always face the problem of lack of male family member to continue the family bloodline.
    (it is so sad~)

    thanks

Don't adopt and expand your borders. You can't increase the chance for a boy. Its 50% chance.

Just curious why so many people are worried about continuing the bloodline with a male. If the heir has good traits who cares where he came from. It's a game.

Some people like to role play. It adds to the experience and immerses yourself into the game more, which makes it more fun(for me at least). No sense playing a game if it's not fun.

Why do you need a male heir to keep the bloodline? Females pass along DNA too.

It is the men that conquer, that fight, that die, that is why we need a lot of them. To respect and honour them we hold their name in our sons, not adopt those scum .......lol......... that was a actually insightful.

Great leader, strategist and politician, lackluster tactician. I would rather have Alexander (Who is pureblood), or Khan, or exploding hamsters.

Sometime is better to have more doter's because you can choose son-in-low, son's are generated by comp. They sometime have bad characters.

Alexander was half-blood. Hard to find a prince that's full blood unless incest is involved.

I agree. Any time one of my males comes of age I pray he is worth a damn.

the men keep the surname and pass it on to the kids... In my english campaign as the kirbys I think I have over 50 members now (dead and living) that ALL have the Kirby Surname

I'm surprised your line didn't die out. That's what usually happens when people don't let daughters marry. That's what happens to me when I keep getting scumbags offered for marriage and then denying them.

well it's weird, like 3/4ths of all my family members are somewhat fertile so I usually get a lot of offspring... lol guess the first king had it, I never really noticed it. Does the fertile trait have a chance to be passed down?

To just answer topic, no there is no real way of affecting sec, though sometimes I have to wonder when I may get 3 girls and 1 boy... more often though I generally have more male heirs. The key point is never adopting
When it comes to benefit of males, well especially with BGR I like the benefits of having a royal family kept in tact, plus adopted family are usually too old and are disloyal. Really having a girl only for me helps when I get a princess with the potential of marrying the second son of the royal family and bringing him to my side. With BGR having the second son means usually means getting a very strong commander or general plus you get the benefit of children being decedents of two royal bloodlines, plus the trait received in marrying a royal princess. Usually I dont like giving away my princess but using them to steam acutal family members of other factions. I try the same with my heir, by having a foreign princess get married to my heir you get all the benefits of a royal union but onto your side taking away their princess and getting an easy alliance out of it. Works well for me early games when I want to get a quick alliance without the need of tribute or strong relations.

But generally you need alot of men in your bloodline to try and have some sort of pure bloodline that can serve as governors for you many provinces no doubt.

Fertility I wonder about, I have had on occasion the instance of having a child born or come to age when the father is sick making the child itself have poor health. But usually what is passed down is Handsome and intelligent males tend to pass down this trait to some degree, and ofc legacy traits of chivalry or dread. I cant really remember myself if Ive had on occasion a male with high fertility also have a son with a bonus fertility trait, wish could remember. But I still think fertility is most likely random, well unless somebody shows a script to say it does actually, would be fun to know.

Looking at the traits, the only one passed from father to son is Infertile. All the good fertility traits are passed from father or mother to daughter.

Real problem is that Comp. offer brides wherry rarely! Sometime, all doters are married, and sons didn't have offered brides. That sucks! In 1.st Medieval you cud offer marriage to a foreign princess for all hairs, not only for a crown-prince! That sucks too!! Is it possible to edit some line and increase chance for clean bloodline?

No. Marriage is hardcoded. You can only change age related things.

yes, in the SS Game, there are some benefits for having a son.
    1. the male family members can be highly educated after he is born
    2. the sons may have some good traits passing from a good father.
it is so great when you see that the "good traits" can be paassed along in the family.
(it can increase the "interesting level" of playing the game)
this means you may get a very strong commander or good governor.

btw, i don't know why, in most of my games, the no. of girls is usually much more than the no. of boys.
especially, when in the early game, if you get 3 girls and only one son, most of the family members
in the later game will be out of the bloodline......(feel so sad~~)

if anyone know how to change this situation, please share to us.
    thanks a lot!
