Camel Gunners

Is it just me or is their morale effect way over powered. I was playing 1v1 sicly vs moors and my cav went from eager to routing in two seconds. Is this normal or was it a hack? Wasn it even the camel gunners?

This is normal. Camel gunners are the strongest unit in the game. I have routed and destroyed a Timurid army of twenty elephant units.

Camel Gunners will tear apart almost any infantry, missile cavalry or heavy cavalry. The only thing which they're really vulnerable to is light melee cavalry like Mounted Sergeants, etc.

confirmed..it is normal, regardless of how OP it is. But it balance out for moors not having musketeers. Mounted Sergeants are still medium cavalry unit...so i'd say stradiots, alan cav, scout or hobilar along the line.

On a side note...shouldn't this be posted in Multiplayer section? Unit balancing is always on medium difficulty

Those camels actually has fighting bonus versus cav making them hard to kill with light cav.. ye annoying units. Yet somewhat inaccurate.

Slay them with archers.

Not really overpowered.

They are expensive as hell, in SP, they have high building requirements, and basicly to only strong unit available to the Moors.

Christian guard and Urban militia are also strong.

Yes, but not outstanding.
Every faction has 1 or 2 units which are strong compared to the general level.

However you can easily rout and kill 4-6 upgraded heavy knights with just 2 of these camels, same thing with reiters.

I don't see why this is a problem...

If it was in the game, a tabor (war wagon maybe?) should rout 4 knights as well.

It is quite simple, don't use horses against camels and armor against AP...
