After playing both I noticed some differences
banners: vanilla BC has awesome flags and banners over the units... kingdoms version does not
ports: in vanilla you get a trade fleet when you build a port, but in kingdoms version you don't... you need to build a merchants wharf to unlock a trade fleet
AOR: in vanilla it is more generous, in kingdoms you get far fewer aor units (e.g. makuria can only recruit sudanese tribal infantry in one settlement whilst in vanilla you can get em almost anywhere in ethiopia)
massive siege 'bug': If theres an enemy settlement with a huge garrison close to it (aka the two near Sindh) and I lay siege to the town with a full stack and then wait for the town to starve the enemy sallies with the full stack in support. However during the battle I get a 'reinforcements delayed' message saying my computer cannot handle the enemy reinforcement army! Which is bs by the way
