How do I get minimum ui

I'd like to use the bloom effect, but not with the current UI, and unfortunately it appears I cannot find the option to do so? I honestly don't know why I don't see it

open the preferences.txt in the respective faction campaign folders preferences folder. Find the line that says something like MINIMUM_UI: FALSE and change FALSE to TRUE.

Oh. Well that explains why I couldn't see it in the option menu

You can change a lot more than the UI in there too. Turning fatigue off, making missiles unlimited, turning Fog of War on/off, changing the grass distance to farther than max. Theres more option than I can remember in there.
