well the issue back than is the mod size is massive and even compressed into installer would be near 2gb, wich would raise issue of wich host would allow uploading this massive sized file, plus filefront would allow but have upload limit of 6 hours so people like me this would be to forget since my upload speed is a mere 512kb/s

I can unpack the first file but not the rest, which means I can play the custom battles but it crashes every time at the grand campaign screen (probably because im missing files) anyone found a way to fix this?

I suggest joining the files again by means of HJsplit and then extracting them with WinRar. worked perfect for me. I have one question though; with some factions (like sweden and damn I really want to play that faction) I get a CTD after turn 2. why is this and how can it be solved?

I fully understand that, but what about an installer for each smaller part? The fact that there are several parts doesn't matter, it is the problems with the distribution that seem to cause troubles for people.

Downloaded parts 1-6 but for some reason the 7th file won't begin download...quite annoying i must say...do you really need to rar the mod into 7 different parts?? Just a very irritating way of downloading and installing. Just pack the mod into an install program like most other mods do

yes and no, but yes because some people like me are unlucky to have a bad internet service and so the upload speed is very bad. since mod if not splited is 5gb and so it would be impossible a) to upload it on a practical average time , b) find a host that allows files of that size and c) not all the players/fans would be happy to download 5gb at once. so spliting allows you to download the mod in several occasions and not forcing to download all at once.

the latest version is a standalone version, it doesn't requires any previous version. this works fine on vanilla since its modfoldered 100%
