Hi, does anybody know if there was artillery used in any part of India before the arrival of gunpowder? Also, what was the first recorded use of cannons in the Indian subcontinent? ty

well in the 14th Century, it is believed that the King of Vijayanagara used several hundred cannon against the Bahminds in South India..The Bahmanids were able to defeat him and capture the artillery.
