Okay i know you'll be thinking im talking among the terms of OC but im actually talking about accurate Gpu Temperature when im playing oh say crysis maxed out, Msi after burner will say its about 50-55 but Asus Smart doctor says its at 45-49 some times even 30C so wich is telling me the truth so i can take appropriate measures, Thx oh and from my last post wich card to get i got a ASUS EAH5850 Direct cu Also wouldn't smart doctor be right because its directly from the gpu its a utility and the same brand? idk tell me what you think honest opinions plz

The honest anser is you need to attach a probe and use your own reader if you want accurate temps. What does CCC say does that agree with the results your getting from the other apps?

I think all the softwares should tell the true temps it might be that at a different level and load the temp varies.
But i trust the MSI afterburner coz 30°C is really absurd it can be the idle temp but not while playing Crysis or any other GPU hungry game.

i completely agree because 39 is way to good i was playing crysis/arma and it was saying 38 so i just use msi afterburner im thinking its asus propaganda to tell us that its 10% cooler but i still luv asus lol

ASUS is a damn fine company and i still doubt that they would intentionally do such a lame thing. It has to be the time of offload when u checked the temp or something.

Asus wouldn't BS about that. 3 out of the last 4 video cards I've had were Asus cards (including my current one, though I have been tempted by the MSI GTX 460 Hawk recently ), and Smart Doctor has usually been at the same temperature that GPU-Z or MSI Afterburner records, so that's a little weird on your part. Then again, I don't have a DirectCu Asus card.

Anyways, I would download GPU-Z (google it) and check it's readings, as well HWMonitor. Obviously one of the readings is wrong, but personally, I'd go with MSI Afterburner's reading. Smart Doctor isn't the best program.
