Normally this would be Medieval II Total War\mods\ (not Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.3). Start the game by reselecting your campaign options in ss_setup.exe.
Sorry this does not make sense to me, where do i place these files?

In Medieval II Total War\mods\ those files dont exist they are in Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.3

Is this where i should put them? Sorry i am not good with this sort of thing. I hope you are able to clarify for me, thankyou. I love this mod.

The archive has a folder named SS6.3 in it. Your welcome to extract the contents to Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.3 but then you'll have the fixes in Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.3\SS6.3. As long as you somehow manage to copy, paste, move, replace, extract the "new" SS6.3 folder over the over the "old" then your fine.
Let me know if you find a way to formulate that to make more sense, because I basicly banked on people following the instructions blindly

Ok i think i understand you.

Will i need to start a new game? Or will the changes take place into my existing campaign?

I dont want to face that much horde either. Too many stacks i am not interested.

I like less stacks, is there a mod out there to make less stacks for ai in general?
I find that my faction is well balanced, but the ai has heaps of stacks. Too many battles later campaign make it lose interest, it feels like battle results dont accomplish anything they feel insignificant because you need to have another 20 full scale battles to achieve anything, i dont like that. Personal preference.

I hope to never see that in my campaign.

You need to start a new campaign for the script to take effect. The lower the campaign difficulty, the lower the amount of spawns. Taken from:

    • Fixes updated to 2.1
      • Lots of errors in unit descriptions fixed
      • Some unit descriptions changed to be more fitting
      • Mongols only spawn another wave of units every 5/7/9/11 turns now, depending on the difficulty (instead of every single turn)
        • The counter gets reset whenever the script spawns more named character, causing another wave

    Translates to:
    5/7/9/11
    VH/H/M/E

If you are not a faction in the mongol spawn region then the AI will take care of some for you - if you are playing a faction in that area take care to prepare for their arrival.

Depending on the CAI you use (I use SavageAI), I would suggest making a powerful network of alliances, and then declaring a crusade/jihad against the Mongols. Or even using diplomacy/florins to get your allies to work together to attack the Mongols. Realistically? You would probably lose the war if you tried going head to head against the Mongols.

The 'Hordes' are not meant to be taken lightly.
